FAQ

What is a soaking tub?

Bathtub soaking stimulates the contact and temperature receptors located on the surface of the skin which promotes relaxation and stress relief. Water, whether consumed or applied externally is a great way to detoxify the body and replenish it with much needed hydration. Soaking in different temperatures of water can be good for the nervous system and for blood flow which impacts our hearts, lungs and the entire body.

Bathing therapy is touted as an easy way to treat many ailments. Such therapy can be used to treat inflammation, tendonitis, infection, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, bursitis, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, injuries, back pain, and other painful ailments. It’s not only used to treat ailments, it is also well known for preventing them. Studies have shown that water therapy is great for rehabilitation from accidents, traumas, strokes, connective tissue diseases and even asthma and other respiratory related problems. Because bathing therapy increases blood circulation, it can help strengthen the immune system, give you more energy and improve the way you feel overall. It also reduces the effects of stress, reduces pain, improves sleep, prevents headaches, and has been found to improve blood sugar, lower blood pressure and potentially help to treat depression.

What are MicroBubbles?

The Newest Technology from Japan installed in our walk-in bathtubs and environmentally friendly. It removes dirt, odors and excess oil; has a massaging effect and oxgenates the skin. No scrubbling, rubbing, shampoos or chemicals are used. Dry and rough skin can also be improved due to the miniaturization and the removal of dead keratin with Micro-Nano bubbles.

MicroBubbles are 1/1000 the size of ordinary water bubbles, so they are small enough to get into pores of the skin. They contain negative ions, which bond with dirt(which has positive ions). And as all bubbles do, they rise up, taking all impurities out of the pours.

How can Air and Hydro help me?

Air and hydro massage therapy help with pain management and relaxation. It also calms the nervous system, reduces stress, tension and anxiety, helps detoxify your body by stimulating your lymphatic system and helps improve blood circulation. Air bubbles are a gentle way of getting a light touch massage in your bath. Soft bubbles of air are blown into the bath from the bottom of the tub and float to the top of the tub gently massaging your entire body.

With hydromassage therapy, water jets provide a more vigorous, focused massage as water sprays out of the jets which are strategically placed throughout your tub to hit specific areas such as your lower back, arms, hips, legs and feet.

Will HydroTherapy make me healthier?

Thermal Effects: Used appropriately, both warm and cold baths can help lessen pain and discomfort and can improve the healing process. Warm baths open up the small blood vessels that are closest to surface tissues. This leads to increased blood flow and circulation which helps your tissues heal, oxygenate and purge toxins. Warm water also slows down your internal organs and is good at reducing aches and pains. Heat increases the production of beneficial body hormones and stimulates the immune system. Warm, moist air from a hot bath can help open up congested or constricted airways in your lungs, throat and sinuses. On the other hand, cold water therapy is effective for numerous conditions such as sprains, where constriction of vessels reduces swelling and other issues.

Mechanical Effects: The massaging effect of the air bubbles, like the motion of water jets; create beneficial chemical reactions in your skin and tissues. This, too, leads to increased circulation, which helps oxygenate tissues and expel toxins. Also, as we age, gravity and impact injure joints and connective tissues. Being in water decreases your body weight by 90%. This buoyancy relieves physical stress from your joints and bones, helping to relieve pain and discomfort. This floating effect also helps relax the body, because muscles don’t have to work as hard to keep the body in position and are given a chance to relax.
